Resort Lifestyle Communities is accepting applications for the position of Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting Team at our Corporate Office in Lincoln, NE. As an Accountant on our team, you will have the potential to specialize in a number of key areas, depending on your experience and strengths, including but not limited to: Resident Lease Transactions, Account Analysis, Annual Budgeting, Payroll Processing & Compliance, Accounts Payable, Data Management, and Financial Reporting.
As a key part of our team, you will be expected to foster positive relationships with team members, prospective team members, and vendors; while preserving our Core Values of Respect, Kindness & Compassion, Honesty, and Service Excellence.
Responsibilities and Duties within your area(s) of specialization may include:
- Record and report resident lease transactions
- Follow established community accounting processes and procedures to ensure consistency and effectiveness among communities and team.
- Complete steps for monthly rent roll and monthly financial statements for assigned communities.
- Process bi-monthly resident check requests and assist with accounts payable.
- Process payroll
- Ensure that all payroll transactions are properly reflected in the accounting records.
- Integral partner for processing out-of-cycle payrolls.
- Facilitate proper handling and completion of payroll compliance tasks.
- Prepare accounting analysis- Assist with bank reconciliations, community expense allocations, general deposits, bonus calculations, recurring items, and other similar items as requested by Supervisors.
- Proficient company software utilization- Including Sage 300 CRE accounting modules, including general ledger, accounts payable and cash management applications; and other 3rd party platforms including, but not limited to Paycor (HRIS), Timberscan, Concur, Event1 and AvidXchange.
Cross-Training/Potential Focus Areas and Opportunities
- Compliance- Support compliance team with monthly and quarterly preparation of S&U tax returns.
- Financial Reporting- Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end tasks related to financial reporting.
- Accounts Payable- Review expenditure coding and approve invoices/credit card transactions. Assist with data entry integrations to help ensure complete financial records and timely vendor payments. Respond to vendor and manager inquiries. Resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software including spreadsheets and word documents.
- Service oriented, with ability to communicate respectfully, compassionately and effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively and to learn quickly with little supervision.
